“ As a long time customer of Canal View, first there are always 2 sides to every story\review. Also, as I write my review, sitting next to me is a very well behaved friendly 2 year I find it amazing that the restaurant, it's owner, Jean and the staff are not kid/family friendly. Also note, I understand the family writing poor reviews had a similar situation on their last visit with their son acting up. If you had problems previously, with your child, at a business, why return. Typically when a child acts up, the parent or other removes the child and takes them outside. Service by Carol, always friendly and exceptional. Food, my usual Chicken sandwich with hot peppers and amazing waffle fries, extra yummy. Chicken and greens sandwich also great Also note, sometimes staff get busy and kitchens get backed up. Oh well. Enjoy being out and relax. I highly recommend canal view with or without your kids. ”

“ Great Views!! I came here on an end of the year jetski journey. Launched at oneida shores and rode across lake on a fantastic fall day. I stopped for a cocktail but I stayed for an early dinner. The bartender/waitress was so friendly. She greeted with warmth and was inviting. I sat outside even know the bees were crazy that day (I think it was the heat in October) . The bartender had know probably making her way outside to serve. The menu is extensive tons of selections. The food was great. I ordered fries with a cheese sauce, Pulled pork nachos, mozzarella sticks and the chicken sandwich. Everything was excellent. Try the pork nachos they were piled high with a sweet and tangy taste. Fries were so good that I almost ordered more. Chicken sandwich was also great, it was very tender and juicy. ”
